Изменение скорости коррозии (S) во времени. S зависит не только от термодинамики процесса коррозии, т.е. от уменьшения свободной энергии реакции, определяющей ее движущую силу, но и от тормозящих факторов коррозион. процесса (Л).
Т.е., реально установившаяся скорость коррозии металла часто не имеет прямой зависимости от степени термодинамич. нестабильности металла (Д(7). Напр., в атм. условиях Аl более стоек, чем Zn, а Сr более стоек, чем Fe, хотя Аl более термодинамич. нестабилен, чем Zn, a Cr — более, чем Fe.
